At the recent VMworld 2012 show in San Francisco, VMware unveiled a handful of significant storage enhancements while hinting at major storage innovation for the coming years. With its overarching theme of the software-defined datacenter (SDDC), VMware is looking to make storage and networking resources flexible and dynamic in the same manner in which it has altered the server and desktop landscapes with its virtualization technologies.
