Learn about RET’s Windows 7 migration and how all of RET's primary applications are being put through ChangeBASE Professional for analysis. Some applications are automatically fixed, and others are tagged as having serious compatibility issues, which are addressed using the ChangeBASE Professional reports. Applications that must be fixed manually are imported into ChangeBASE after the fix and retested to ensure that the application is now compatible with Windows 7.

ChangeBASE Professional has cut application packaging time at RET by one third, enabling the Windows 7 migration to proceed on time, without additional staff. ChangeBASE Professional has also enabled RET to assess which applications are best suited for virtualization.  In a later phase of the migration, RET intends to use Quest ChangeBASE Browser Compatibility to ensure application compatibility during its upgrade from Internet Explorer 6 to IE 8.
