BLOGS AND RSS HAVE A POWERFUL PRESENCE IN THE B2B MARKETPLACE

KnowledgeStorm and Universal McCann are pleased to announce the results of the second survey in the Emerging Media Series: Blogs and Really Simple Syndication (RSS).

The survey findings indicate that 80% of respondents claim to be blog readers, and IT purchase decisions are already heavily influenced by blog content (more than 53% said that blog content has impacted their work-related purchasing decisions). Even more, respondents are not only reading blogs, they are also contributing to them. Nearly half of the respondents admitted to commenting or contributing to the blogs at least once a month.

A less prevalent, but still significant, note is the rise of RSS. Fifty-nine percent of respondents said they are "somewhat" to "very" familiar with RSS, and 31% subscribe to RSS feeds or readers.

Read on to learn more about the significant impact blogs and RSS have on online content consumption.
